A volunteer knits jumpers for orphaned children in South Africa

Gift My Time is an Ascension Trust initiative that is focused on local people working together to meet the needs of their community. Time and resources are often overlooked when people think about 'giving' to charitable causes, but with this initiative the focus is on people and individuals giving their time for various projects.

Through Gift My Time, young people have volunteered their time to improve and bless their communities, helping in homelessness projects, raising money for children's charities, building a children's play centre, and cultivating a community garden.

Currently, GiftMyTime in conjunction with another local charity, is undertaking an exciting project to rescue and reuse a bolt-together building. The building otherwise destined for landfill has been completely dismantled. Re-modelled and refreshed, it is being rebuilt at a local play centre for children. There are very limited funds to complete this project, therefore Gift My Time is for volunteers to help.
